Some cities are perfect for parkour. When I entered Cali, I noticed quite a few structures that would be great for jumping and climbing on, yet I had no idea that the parkour scene here is as big as it is. It seems that not only is Cali a great (the best) city for salsa, it’s also amazing for those who love to venture in urban spaces. (more…)

ROOSTER FIGHTER IN PERUVIAN OCOÑA
Waking up to the sound of one rooster is normal, but how about waking up to thirty of them? This morning, that was my alarm. As I stepped down to have breakfast with the owners of the hospedaje (bed and breakfast) I’m staying at (which the local priest paid for me, afraid I’d get washed away by floods if staying in my tent), I found out their son is a rooster fighter. Intrigued by this pass-time I knew nothing about, I decided to find out more. (more…)

Vía Crucis Formoseño is a pilgrimage route in Formosa, Argentina. The 512km-long stretch used to be done only by car, until one local lady decided to give it a try on a bicycle. In year 2008, Celia Insaurralde convinced three of her friends to go with her and so began the story of the Cicloperegrinos – pilgrims on bicycles.
