CAUÊ ALMEIDA GALVÃO: “YO SOY LATINOAMERICANISTA!”

Cauê is a man who studies and teaches the history of Latin America at UNILA (Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana) in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. He calls himself a latinoamericanistaso I asked him to tell a bit more about what this means. Although Cauê’s native language is Portuguese, he offered to speak Spanish, just to raise the probability of people actually understanding what he says! (One day I might make a resumé in English, but for now…Google Translate?)

Background: How I met Cauê?

Cauê was my Couchsurfing host in Foz do Iguaçu before going to Europe and after going to Europe. He lives in the city where the Iguazu Falls are (one of the main tourist attractions of Brazil and Argentina), but I never saw them, as it was raining cats and dogs both times I was there! (No worries, I’m certain they couldn’t compete my Vic Falls experience anyways!)
