YOUTUBE SERIES WITH BLUE FOX – UNA VUELTA POR EL BARRIO

Me and my friend, Blue Fox, have started a new YouTube series! It’s called Una Vuelta Por El Barrio (A Stroll Around the Block) — a small journey through Blue Fox’s home hoods, the neighborhood of San Antonio, Cali, Colombia. We’ll be visiting the many intriguing places this neighborhood has to offer, and interviewing the people for whom San Antonio is home. The first ever episode is online now! The future of the series depends on how well I manage to recruit friends and random passersby to film the interviews. This time, my gratitude goes to Laura, who spontaneously agreed to film our chat with Manolo.

NOTE! This is my first ever YouTube series, so please tell me what you think and how I can make it better! I know the sounds are horrid, but I have no external mic for now… Also, as I can’t shoot myself, the camera work will most probably be different every time.

Oh…! One more thing: The series is in Spanish.

CYCLING IN LATIN AMERICA

In November 2015, I set out to explore the vast and diverse realities of Latin America, and to question the persistent stereotypes of crime and violence in this region. I decided to do this by cycling first through South America (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia from 2015-2017), then through Central America from May 2018. Through local women, I have become more and more involved in female empowerment and tackling male supremacy on this beautiful continent I now call home.
